Red dye often runs, it is rarely 'color fast'. Red can be safely washed with brown, black, navy, other reds. You could chance it with green, but if this is the first wash then wash the red with a white handkerchief or a white cotton sock to see if the colour is going to run.

You can wash anything together, just put everything on cold.
