What white and red wine would you choose for your Wedding breakfast?

I have been asked to choose the white and red wines that will be on the tables but can only think of pinot grigio so far. Any fresh fruity white wines and light summery red suggestions? Thanks!

  1. Can I recommend a winery? If you have any fine wine stores, see if they carry wines from Chateau Montelena. Their wines are EXCEPTIONAL. The local liquor store will probably not carry them. Some of their wines are very expensive, but they also have some extraordinary wines that are affordable.

I would recommend a riesling for white wine and a cabernet.

  2. Riesling is a lovely fruity white wine. Dr. Loosen is a nice one. Beaujolais would be a good choice for a softer red.

Btw, for the other answerers, wedding breakfast isn't actually breakfast, it's the name for the wedding meal!

  3. You shouldn't be serving red wine at breakfast (yuck!). I'd say the only acceptable 'wine' would be champagne (mimosa's - yum!).

  4. White - go for either a Sauvignon Blanc or a Pinot Grigio

Red - either a Shiraz or a Merlot

You will find that more people will like these type of grape Verities

how about a semi-sweet bubbly white like Riccadonna
and a sophisticated rose like Mateus......
