What do you use red pepper jelly on?

I was given a jar of homemade red pepper jelly and am not sure what to eat it with.

  1. I would pour it over a block of cream cheese and serve it with crackers. You could also melt it and drizzle it on a plate on which you put a nice piece of chocolate cake. Melting it with a bit of water could make a nice dip for steamed shrimp too.

    • Use instead of mint jelly with roasted meats or grilled chops.
    • Serve with meat, cheese & pâté platters.
    • Use as an alternative to mustard when serving grilled sausages.
    • Hot pepper jelly is excellent when served on piping hot cornbread.
    • Melt and use as a glaze on roasted pork or poultry.
    • Melt and use instead of plum sauce with spring rolls and chicken wings.

  5. this is the perfect dressing to make a smoked turkey ham sandwich with cream cheese. Use french bread or baguette, spread some jelly on both slices of bread, add some smoked turkey ham, cream cheese, lettuce, and tomato.
If you want you can toast it before you put the veggies on it.
    Simple and delicious!!!
