What would cause a red tinted liquid to soak through the driver's side carpet in my Toyota Camry?
2000 toyota Camry. The driver's side floorboard feels wet. the substance seems to be a bit oily, thin. When you clean it with a cloth the liquid is tinted a red color. THis is the only seat it is happenning in, not the passenger side. Car is running fine.

Maybe there is a leak in your trans. Is it an automatic?
It could be from your clutch or your brakes. maybe a bad seal. But that fluid should be clear or a little brownish. It sounds like transmission fluid, but off hand, I can't say that I've seen transmission fluid leak into the cabin. See what fluids you are low on. That'll be the one that is leaking. good luck.
