I have a lot of red apples... Is apple pie only nice with green apples? I have only ever used green apples before..
Any other suggestions?

Trả lờiXóaIt depends upon what type of apples you mean. Red doesn't tell us what type they are. Some apples are better for fresh eating (waldorf salad); some are better for sauce (use cinnamon imperials instead of ground cinnamon and the sauce is a pretty pink color) and then others are best for baking (pies, crisps, dumplings or just baked apples). If in doubt, you can sauce them by peeling them, add some water (you can always add more if they're high in pectin so the sauce is too thick), bring them to a boil then simmer for 15 - 20 minutes. You can use a wooden or plastic spoon to press the pieces against the side of your saucepan. When they seem soft enough, take off the stove and add some sugar and cinnamon (or the red hots mentioned above).

Chop cookies still their crumbs, after that grab an apple and cut trough the half cut the middle of the apple and make a little circle in the middle of the half apple. then put the cookie crumbs in the little hole for the apple (the hole should be about 2 inches.)than put honey, and cinnamon in the hole with the cookie crumbs...Finally put the apples in the oven abut 1o minutes 350degrees. you can make the dessert with peaches too.
if u have cream you can top it with it.
